Chelsea's recent difficulties in the Premier League appear to be prompting them to consider potential solutions. Reports indicate that scouts from Chelsea attended the Napoli vs Barcelona match to closely monitor players Victor Osimhen and Jules Kounde.
This is not the first time that Chelsea has shown interest in Osimhen, a forward from Nigeria. Although he was rumored to be moving to Stamford Bridge during the previous season, he finally decided to stay with Napoli. The Blues' present offensive struggles, on the other hand, appear to have reinvigorated their pursuit of the goal. The fantastic form that Osimhen has displayed this season, which includes 17 goals and 6 assists across 28 appearances across all competitions, gives him an option that is surely worth considering.
The fact that Chelsea is keeping an eye on Jules Kounde is another factor that adds to the uncertainty. According to reports, the French defender, who moved to Barcelona from Sevilla in 2022 after receiving substantial interest from the Blues themselves, is apparently contemplating a transfer during the summer. Chelsea may be waiting in the wings to profit on the scenario, despite the fact that the reasons for his possible exit from Camp Nou are yet unknown.
Chelsea would be making huge expenditures in both Osimhen and Kounde if they were to acquire both. According to reports, Osimhen is estimated to be worth approximately €130 million (£110 million), while Kounde's acquisition could be even more expensive. On the other hand, if Chelsea is serious about correcting their flaws and contending for trophies, then they are the kinds of high-profile additions that have the potential to make a significant difference.
