Jason Kelce , arguably the best NFL center in the history of sports has officially retired from the sport. On Monday Jason Kelce held a press conference in the company of his family to announce his retirement following the loss of Eagles against the Buccaneers at the NFL playoffs.
Jason spent around 40 minutes thanking everyone that played a key role in his care, from teammates, coaches his brother Travis and his wife Kylie. "So this all brings us here to today, where I announce I am retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles," with eyes covered by tears Kelce said.
Kelce spent his entire 13-year career in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. There were a total of 193 regular-season games and 12 postseason games included.
During his career, he earned seven Pro Bowl selections, was a six-time All-Pro, and won a Super Bowl in 2018 with the Eagles defeating the New England Patriots 41-33.
Kelce, the older brother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, will be eligible for Hall of Fame selection in 2029.Kelce is likely to stay connected to NFL news updates.
His "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce" podcast is highly popular and has garnered acclaim for his on-camera skills following his participation in the previous NFL Broadcasting and Media Workshop. He was chosen as one of People's Sexiest Men of the Year last year.
Kelce had contemplated retiring from professional football. After the Eagles' Super Bowl defeat against his brother's Chiefs, Kelce was said to be uncertain about returning to play.
