UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is embroiled in a legal controversy surrounding accusations of assaulting a drug test agent. Jones vehemently denies these claims, maintaining he has not been arrested.

NBC News first reported the alleged incident, stating Jon Jones was arrested after a Drug Free Sport agent accused him of assault and interfering with communication. The agent claimed Jon Jones took her phone, intimidated her, and threatened her during a home visit for a drug test. The police report details Jones allegedly threatening the testers with: "Why you f*cking people come so early, do you know what happens to people who come so early to my house, they end up dead."

Jones addressed the accusations on social media, clarifying he wasn't arrested and was currently in Texas with his daughters at a volleyball tournament. He expressed frustration with the misinformation and his intent to fight the charges.

Jones explained feeling disrespected by the testers' unprofessionalism while celebrating his birthday and taking a nap. He admitted using profanity out of frustration but denied any threats or assault.

"I was caught off guard by the unprofessionalism and protocol by one of the testers which caused frustration leading me to use some profanity I regret," Jones stated. "However, I want to emphasize that at no point did I threaten, get in anyone's face, raise my voice to anyone or engage in any form of assault," he highlighted.

Updated Police Report Reflects Jones' Version of Events

The Albuquerque Police issued an updated report acknowledging Jones' account. Jones claims he was bothered by the early visit and requested they stop sending testers to his residence so early. He denies making any threats or taking the agent's phone, stating he briefly picked it up, mistaking it for his own.

According to Jones' police statement, he told the female tester, "Tell everyone at headquarters not to send people to my home so early because it could be a dangerous environment." Jones clarified to the police that he meant it could be a party or have multiple people present.

Jones released security camera footage from his home to support his claims. As of now, there are no official charges against him in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The UFC has acknowledged the situation but remains silent on further comment.
