Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is making a strategic touchdown off the field, landing his first major TV role in Ryan Murphy's highly anticipated FX horror series, "Grotesquerie." This move signals Kelce's continued push towards a future career in Hollywood.

Sharing the Screen with Emmy Award Winners

Travis Kelce will be joining a star-studded cast in this TV role, sharing the small screen with seasoned actors like Emmy winner Niecy Nash-Betts (known for her recent success in Murphy's "Dahmer") and veterans Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville. While details about the series and Kelce's character remain shrouded in typical Ryan Murphy secrecy, the project is already generating considerable buzz.

News Breaks on Instagram

The casting news leaked thanks to Kelce's new castmate, Niecy Nash-Betts. In an Instagram post, the actress playfully revealed Kelce's involvement with a video captioned: "This is what happens when WINNERS link up!! @killatrav Welcome to Grostequerie ."

The video shows Nash-Betts saying, "Guys, guess who I am working with on Grotesquerie?" before panning over to a smiling Kelce. "Jumping into new territory with Niecy!" the NFL star enthusiastically adds.

Kelce's Growing Entertainment Portfolio with TV Role

This isn't Kelce's first foray into the world of entertainment. Fans might remember his comedic turn as host of "Saturday Night Live" back in 2023. He's also dabbled in unscripted television with his short-lived dating show, "Catching Kelce," and is slated to host the upcoming Prime Video game show, "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?"

Since signing with CAA talent agency last year, Kelce has been actively pursuing opportunities beyond the football field. He recently served as an executive producer on the indie film "My Dead Friend Zoe" and is attached to produce a documentary about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

A Chilling New Chapter

However, "Grotesquerie" marks a significant shift for Kelce. With his charismatic personality and ever-growing fanbase (fueled in part by his high-profile relationship with singer Taylor Swift), Kelce seems poised to make a splash in the world of scripted television. "Grotesquerie" could be the start of a chilling new chapter for the athletic superstar.
